Softpencil Thursday.

Be creative is the theme this week, and what do you think about this image? The super cute image is created by Natalia, Elizabeth's sister, and it is called thinking of Santa. And it's available now at the Softpencil's Etsy shop among with many others new wonderful images... especially the Christmas images and the new 2010 calendars!

So, I really got out of my comfort zone this week... I went VINTAGE! I covered a mini notebook with Graphic 45 dp, inked all the edge with Tim Holtz ink pad in antique linen and tea dye, cut out a very cool Santa, colored the image with copic marker and spica pens (E00, E40, E55, E70, G29, R29, R37, W2, chocolate, lemon), stardust pen. And I love the little holly and leaves, it's actually an EK Success punch, and I used liquid pearls in ruby red to add some dimension. Hope you like it.

Join us every Saturday at PCP Softpencil challenge for a chance to win free stamps!

Smiley from Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Huh? You see... of course, today is Softpencil Thursday. And OMG, the new images... have you seen them yet? If not, click here! They are soooooo cute! I'm in love with them. Oh yes, the story about 007... For this week's challenge, we have to use this adorable image called Michu is giving gifts away and the decorative element is golden touches. So, I kept thinking GOLDEN FINGERS or maybe chicken fingers. Hmmmm... I'm hungry or maybe I have gone crazy. LOL Smiley from

Colored the image with Copic markers (W2, E40, YR000, R89, G85), spica pen in gold and silver, and of course, I had to use some sparkles! So excited...

Big thank you to Elizabeth, she is such a sweetheart!!! She sent me this award.

So, I have to list five things I like to do and then I have to pass this award on to five people... (oh man, why can't I pass it on to all my friends from blog land)
  • when I'm not crafting... I love to play Wii (my favorite game is Rayman, it's hilarious!!! Ok, a few runner-ups: Rockband, Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, and DDR)
  • I love traveling... especially trying out different cuisine
  • I love watching Food network (it's a channel everything about food)... and I can probably watch it 24-7
  • when I'm crafting... I always twirl in my chair... and yes, I do get dizziness, LOL!
  • Always trying to figure out, how am I going to find a $$$ tree or win the lottery... if it does happens, I'm going to have a plaza with a Spa, coffee/bistro, craft store (of course!), gym with a day care, and it'll have a computer store or home improvement store for the husbands near by...

So, I'll pass it on to Cat, Erin, Michelle, Tammy, and Tracey.

What a fun night! VSN with the Amuse girls. Chatting and stamping away...

This is suppose to be for the 4th Challenge. The challenge is to find a picture of a costume or type of dress for a specific period of history and base your card on that.

History lesson? Oh man, you are killing me... I'm a science geek! Well, as I explained to the Amuse gals... Once upon a time, at the world of Kerry's land, she found a picture of this dress.... Smiley from

...the story will end here! A simple card using the shimmery Amuse paper.
Hope you like it.

TGIF! Woohoo... it's Friday! I'm so excited about tonight!

It's Girls' Night Out... A few good friends and I are going to a local restaurant called Unwined! I heard that the food is really good, and of course wine too. What a perfect combo! So, I decided to ink up my wine and cheese stamp, then match it with the sentiment eat, drink, be merry.

I used the shimmery papers from Amuse, colored the image with Copics (BG000, C1, E44, E51, R59, V99, Y23, V99) & chocolate spica pens. The layout is from Mojo Monday.

Glenda's Random Amusing Challenge #45... to make anything but a card, so I made an ATC.

Pop-up 101!

Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a great weekend. Here is my Softpencil pop-card which I made a few months ago. And I had promised a few wonderful ladies that I'll create a template/tutorial for a pop-up card. So here it's.

What you need:
xacto knife
bone folder

My card measures 4"x4", so you will need to cut a piece of card stock 4"x8".

First, measure half way up from the bottom (which is 4") and draw a line horizonally .
Then measure 1/2" from each side.
From the middle "center" line, measure 1" above, 1" below, and 1" below again. (please see below picture), then you can create this box.

Using your xacto knife, cut the two vertical lines (in pencil) only.
Then score only the COLORED horizontal lines (in blue and little 1/2" red lines, NOT the pencil one).
See below picture, your card it POP! Use the back side for your creations.

Now, it's completely up to you. Add your favorite images, design papers, and have a blast.
I hope this mini-tutorial make sense, if you have any questions, feel free to send me an email.
Happy Stamping! Smiley from
